One of the most frequent questions I receive from believers around the country is “Can you tell me where a strong Bible teaching church is in my community?” When I have the opportunity to support a new church that I know will bless a community through the preaching of God's Word I want to let people know about it. Therefore, I am writing in support of a new church that will open its doors in the Carson Tahoe area this fall, Harvest Bible Chapel.
The senior pastor, John Cox, holds to the same doctrinal commitments I have held to in over 40 years of ministry. John grew up at Grace Community Church and I have been pleased to have known him since he was a child. Being a graduate of The Master’s Seminary John began serving here at Grace and has continued in pastoral ministry for the past seven years. I have personally been blessed listening to John’s preaching myself and his love for the Lord is revealed in his passion for preaching and shepherding the flock of Christ.
I am confident the Lord will strongly bless John’s ministry and I am pleased to do anything I can to encourage it.

God began writing the story of Harvest Bible Chapel before the foundation of the world, but is revealing it to us today. Harvest Bible Chapel is a community of believers in Jesus Christ who seek to live lives based on the Truth of God's Word and are passionate for the Glory of God.
It is with this group of disciples of Christ that we are currently working to launch the church in September 2010. We are praying for people to join this work and be apart of an exciting opportunity to passionately serve our Lord through the establishment of a new work in the Carson Tahoe area.
Harvest has Four pillars that encompass what we do as disciples who Worship Christ, Walk with Christ, and Work for Chirst. They are:
- Proclaiming the authority of God’s Word without apology (2 Timothy 4:2)
- Lifting high the name of Jesus through worship (John 4:24)
- Believing firmly in the power of prayer (Ephesians 6:18)
- Sharing the good news of Jesus with boldness (Ephesians 6:19-20)
